Emmyline is currently in the Air Force reserves. She started training martial arts in October 2018, training in both Brazilian Jiujitsu and Muay Thai at KOA Martial Arts.

In October 2020, Emmyline moved to Okinawa, Japan and then trained under Professor Flavio Da Silva. It was under Professor Flavio’s tutelage when she was promoted to Blue Belt in December 2021. During her time in Okinawa she competed on numerous occasions; earning second place at the SJJJF South Japan Championships and first place at the ASJJF Okinawa Championships.

In October 2022, Emmyline returned to KOA Martial Arts and has since competed in several “grand slam” IBJJF events such as the IBJJF Pans and World Masters, and she has won several competitions, most notably the IBJJF Nashville Open.
